Insert the suppository into your vagina as deeply as possible using a finger or a tampon applicator.

Menopause Relief: CBD can create muscular relaxation and enhance tissue oxygenation, and as an adaptogen it can soothe chronic pain while enhancing pleasurable sensation. Experiment with regular or even daily use. Learn more about CBD & Menopause here!
Rectal Use: For everything from pain & inflammation relief to enhanced erotic play, experiment with rectal application as well, inserting as deeply as possible.
What is CBD?
CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a compound derived from the hemp plant. Not to be confused with the marijuana. Cannabinoids like THC and CBD interact with the human body via the endocannabinoid system (ECS for short). The ECS is responsible for regulating bodily functions like sleep, our immune systems, as well as mood. However, where THC produces a tell-tale ‘high’, CBD is entirely non-euphoric. This has made it a very attractive, very legal option for many looking to incorporate it into their lifestyle to balance their health and wellbeing.
The Endocannabinoids System (ECS)
Studies indicate that CBD binds to CB1 (one of your brain’s endocannabinoid receptors) at a different spot from where other cannabinoids normally bind to the receptor. This process, called allosteric modulation, leaves the binding site free, but changes the shape of the receptor so that it has a weaker binding affinity — rendering it less responsive.
Although decreasing your body’s endocannabinoid response might seem counterintuitive, many disruptions to the endocannabinoid system actually stem from an overactive system. If your body struggles with the burden of constant anxiety or excess weight, then your receptors are probably being overstimulated, and CBD could give your endocannabinoid system the break it needs.
Endocannabinoids In the Reproductive Tract
Within the female reproductive tract, endocannabinoid receptors are widespread. They are most dense in the uterus, but are also found in the fallopian tubes, ovaries, vagina and vulva. On a microscopic level, endocannabinoid receptors are located where they can exert control. They are associated with
- nerves where they mediate sensations
- immune cells where they control inflammation
- glands where they influence hormone secretion
- muscles where they facilitate energy usage.
Overall, the endocannabinoid system is fully integrated into the reproductive tract and has a vital role in pregnancy and childbirth. Beyond its role in reproduction, this system also influences the pleasures — and the pains — that the reproductive tract provides on a day-to-day basis.
Relief: How Cannabinoids Target Female Pain
Pain-reduction is one of the most common therapeutic uses for cannabinoids. Since the reproductive tract can be a major source of pain — particularly during menstruation — using cannabinoids vaginally could be a much more direct route of relief.
The first time they try cannabinoid suppositories, many women are shocked at how effective they are. Cannabinoids address pain in two ways — not only do they desensitize pain-perceiving nerves, they also limit inflammation (which is often a major contributor to pain). This powerful combination probably led to cannabis’ widespread use by our ancestors for treating pelvic pain.
How exactly do they work? CBD targets the same enzyme that Ibuprofin does — decreasing your body’s production of inflammatory prostaglandins that stimulate painful cramps — and THC & CBD reduce both the intensity of the cramps and your ability to feel their pain signals
